regapping plugs
I just bought an MSD Blaster TFI coil. I have autolite platinum plugs in my car that are about 6 months old. Will i have to regap them as im upgrading from stock? The reason i bought an MSd is because my stocker is dying.

The biggest drawback to platinum plugs is that they should NEVER be regapped. The platinum core in the center electrode is hair thin, and becomes extremely fragile after limited use. If you attempt to regap them, the odds are heavy that you will damage at least one, yet you won't realize it until you start to develop other drivability problems that will drive you crazy trying to solve.
Replace the plugs, and stay away from platinums. Take care, ~Chris

I'm not saying they aren't very good, just not for someone that plans to re-tune it. They are better for maintenance free cars, like Moms.
Take care, ~Chris
