Talking

I see you hit second gear pretty hard and you found a noisy neutral instead. Time to upgrade. Hey if your input shaft is in good shape I'm interested.

Thumbs up

nice work on that one

I especially like the shot of the debris in the bottom of the case

That's about how my reverse gears looked like after an attemped show off. Instead of smoke there was a loud bang.

later

did the same thing to the t-5 in my 95, i was on the highway put it in 3rd, brought it up to the rev limiter and let the clutch go. it made a really frightening noise. i drove home and it sounded like i was dragging a flipped over semi behind me. hanlon motorsports sells 2nd gear 3rd gear and the whole bottom cluster for $275 as a kit. if you needed the parts. i just went out and bought a tremec.

{the tremec only lasted 4 wks without a short throw though, i ended up rebuilding that one too, cost $450 in parts}

1-2 slider, 3-4 slider, synchros, 3-4 shift fork,...........ect.....

That's what I bought. If I'd've had the money, I'd've bought a Tremec, but I opted to rebuild it, for now...
