Default Missfire over Half Throttle....Fixed

Hi Guys
Well, I finally found out what the hell was going on with my missfire. I changed the plugs, coil and the leads, but as it turned out I had gapped the plugs wrong. I've got an Australian Ford shop manual and in there it said to gap the plugs at 1.3 to 1.4mm(Oz is metric) but dear ol Dad laughed and said set em at 1.1 mm. I guess the moral of the story is....................Start with the basics. Hope this helps someone else out that might be looking a little to deep. Merry Christmas Guys

Don't you have a sticker under the hood that says what to gap them at ? (that is if you have a sticker) I personally would go with what the sticker says over any manual or parts store.

Negative on the sticker under the bonnet. This car was an export only to the middle east. It dosn't have cats or O2 sensors so I guess that the computer has been specially modified for this application. There is also "GCC countrys only" stickers on all sorts of things, the tape deck to name one. The car also has a speedo in Km\hr not miles, anyway I'm sorted for now, thanks for the advice.
