alternator pulley to crank pully ratio
I have an 88 GT with a 347 and t trim. I needed a higher amp alternator for all the accessories and power so I picked up a 130 amp unit of a 95 v6. It still only barely makes it to the halfway on the gauge and is just above the red line at idle. Someone told me that the pully on the 130 unit may not be the right proportion to the vortech pully on the crank and it would only make a fraction of the juice I need. If so does anyone know what the ratio of the stock 95 v6 crank is to the 130 unit it came from?
I also have a high speed miss at about 5800. Car make 550 at the crank. Any suggestions?
