Are gt-40 irons pedestal or stud???
I bought my car as is and i havnt had the valve covers off yet. Im installing my AFR's this weekend and i want to know if i can use the same roller rockers of my gt-40 irons. I know the AFR's are stud but im not sure if the gt-40's are.
thanks for the help

well you might not even have rr's? they could be stock stamped, but most likely they are pedestal, i would have bought pedesta afr's, but thats just my opinion since i plan on reusing my crane's.

Can i take the studs out of the AFR's and use the pedstal off the gt-40's if thats what they are? If not i guess ill have to buy another set of rockers. What rockers would you recommend. Im going to be getting an FTI custom grind soon so should i stay with the 1.6 and get a bigger cam or put on some 1.72's? Can i fit a 1.7 under the stock valve covers with some modification???
thanks for the help

the GT40's are pedestal mount
Quote:
Just stick with a set of stud mount 1.6's, less stress on the valvetrain and more cam choices available without going with too much lift. good luck with it, and BTW you chose a great set of heads -drew
