The C5 is a better case than a C4. It has larger oil passages in it. Pan is deeper too. The Bell housing is about 1" deeper than a C4 due to its lock up converter. Therefore a C4 converter will fit a C5 but will not allow it to engauge the trany due to the depth or the Bell. Find a 157 bell and bolt it to your C5 trany,it will work.
