Post THANK YOU, but...

Hi all,

My car (88 LX) was running like crap and I couldnt figure it out. Replaced all the sensors and still no luck. I posted a message here about it and someone figured out my problem. My car has a 302 out of an 88 bird, he told me to swap the computer for a bird computer and it worked! Car runs soooo much better! This site is great!
There is still one problem though. Now it idles at about 2 grand. It's got a new TPS. Any ideas?

PS, I've always had a carbed car, these EFI cars are a lot more difficult to diagnose. I'm really beginning to see the merits of a carb

Try backing off the idle screw on the throttle body, or unplug the IAC vavle on the side and see if that drops it down any.
