I change my transmission fluid every Spring when I get the car out of storage. I used Mobile 1 Synthetic ATF two times and the transmission seemed "noisier" than normal so I went back to regular ATF. Just my personal experience.

I used Mobile 1 synthetic gear oil in the rear. I was told by a mechanic at the Ford dealer where I work that it already has the friction modifier in it so there is no need to add the Ford friction modifier. It has been 3 years and no rear end chatter and the traction lock works fine.
