It's just the way they came from the factory with a cable clutch instead of hydraulic. You can have a different clutch installed... I put in a Ford Racing King Cobra clutch witch is has a HEAVY DUTY pressure plate and SIGNIFICANTLY cuts down the amount of force needed to push in the clutch pedal. There are other clutches out there many people on this forum will scream Centerforce for one. There is also Clutchmasters which are very good (midpriced between king cobra and centerforce. I paid $200 for my clutch but they can be found cheaper.
