does it ever go off?
or does it just blink or stay solid all the time i unplugged something behind my dash when changing my heater core, after that i just kept blinking. i think the only way to make it go off i to bring it to the dealership and have them re-set it. or do what i did and just take the light bulb out from behind the cluster. |

I'll preach a little now .... I'm a veh material damage appraiser for an insurance co. I see an average of 2 totalled veh. a day. I can tell you in many instances those air bags are the only thing seperating life and death ! I just finished looking at a total a few days ago where someone turned left in front of the guy (a young guy). He was coughing and choking while i was talking to him on the phone. He said i'm sorry but i have bone fragments in my lungs and my heart, thats why i'm coughing. I looked at his veh. and on top of the front end looking like he hit a concrete wall at 80, the steering wheel was bent, the column was crooked and the dash was broken ... he did that with his chest and arms, and thats with the bag deployed !!! If he hit it that hard with the air bag deployed, how hard do you think he would have hit it had it not deployed ? There is no question his parents would be burying him right about now, instead of feeding him chicken soup until he gets better..... think about that before you decide to disconnect things from the air bag system, because you could be writting your own obituary. whatever you do dont try to fix it yourself while putting a new pedal assembly in my 93 2.3L I forgot to plug the airbag sensor back on I had the driver seat removed for ease of working under the dash well when I got it all back togater I turned the key I was holding the steering wheel with my left hand and my face was maybe 3" from the wheel as soon as I turned the key the bag blew I woke up a few minutes later halfway in my hatch with very bad burns on my face chest and arm I couldnt see out of my right eye for about 3 days and couldnt hear out of my right ear for about 5 days......leve them to the professionals

if i were you i would just bring it to a dealership and have them re-set the thing or if there is a problem have them fix it.
i personally dont care if it works or not (on my car, but thats my choice) have it looked at by a professional |
