If you want the upper and lower ported, Extrude Hone is the only process that can port the upper without cutting it all apart. EH gets $250 for the upper and $250 for the lower.
If you want to just port the lower, which many guys do, I can port that to a 1250 or 1262 gasket size for $100 + shipping cost - typically $25-40 rounf trip or $125-140 for everything. You need to think about the head runner though. Measure your head runner and see if they are 1.10-1.15" wide and about 2.0" tall. If they are, they match the 1250 size gasket now. The site wouldn't allow me to attach a photo I posted before - Look at "Cheap 5.0 Mods" thread for a photo of one of my ported stock lowers next to a stock lower. These ports are done to just shy of a 1250 size gasket to match Thumper heads.

well i am at college and my poor mustang is sitting in my garage covered up, so i cant really measure anything at the moment. However i havent done any major work to the engine like heads or anything so it should be whatever size that comes stock.
how much of an HP gain should i expect with either just the lower, or both? |

I would expect 10-20 HP from porting the lower depending on other factors around engine condition, tune, etc.
I suggest you do two posts on a few forums. One asking for the measurements of the stock GT40 head intake runner opening and the second asking guys who have just ported their lower Cobra intakes what kind of power or 1/4 MIle MPH gains they saw. ET is not a good measure of power gain as it depends on too many other variables - MPH is best for that.
