no its not at all weird anada adopted California emision standards
in like 85 so all cars that had special cal mods had to have them to come to canada so mass air california cars got shipped here. also i had my car on the sniffer and it passed , lowered fuel pressure and boost set a little high for the low fuel and acctually cleaned out my tail pipe prior to trying clean air filters ect but then the moron asked me where the cats where in all the mess. I told him to fail me cause i was moving to calgary and no air care from Vancouver

If you can, keep on eye out on the boards here for someone that can get you a Carfax. That should tell you a bit about the history of your car, as far as where it is from.
Oh, and TB stands for Throttle Body.

Hi there i have an 86 GT and i was wondering i dont have a MAF is this go or bad and what do i have and is it better then MAF. thanks alot.

You have a speed density system. Although some will disagree on this, it is generally accepted that MAF cars respond better to modifications. But, I think the speed density cars were a bit quicker in stock form. And, there are members on this board that have run very quick times using the speed density system. Do a search on speed density and you can read all about it.
