Car Won't Start Part Two
Heyo everyone. Here's the problem. My car won't start. It'll rev till about 400 rpms but that's it. I tried cranking it and stepping on the gas a little bit while i crank it, but that doesn't work. Doesn't even seem like it wants to start. Can anyone help me out? I'm getting fuel, and I'm getting spark...grrrr...help please!!!

you could of flooded it real bad stepping on the gas is a bad idea with fuel injection .
take the plugs out turn the fuel pump off (in the back and crank it over and see if gas is coming out. it could be just bad flooded or weak spark but if its flooded bad leave it sitting plugs out throttle body held open over night hope this helps. the tps could be gone or distributor could of moved but i would check for flooded cylenders first.

you can't flood an EFI car that way.
Did the problem just come out of nowhere or did you change something or have it worked on recently? How do you know you are getting fuel and spark?

I had a friend with an RX7.. I know it's a totaly different motor......It worked fine when he parked it.. and then it just wouldnt start two days later.. so we changed the plugs (wich were NASTY)... we could smell the fuel so we knew he was getting gas... after he towed it to a shop they found it was the Mass Air Meter...
I dunno if that's your problem... but just telling my story. -as

check the distributor , you did a cam swap ? did you index it right
have some one move the distributor while you crank the engine over . and you can flood a efi car that way. next time you have your injectors out prime the fuel system and move the throttle switch to wot the injectors will fire. that has been my experience and also ive seen efi cars flooded so bad we have had to take the intake off. ps i came up with this one as we have a efi car that is totally flooded gas all over the cylenders they flooded it after shutting it down and there fuel pump has been staying on lovely mess plugs are out and throttle body stuck open good luck i think it has more to do with the cam swap

sounds like a timing problem.

If you have fuel and spark and your firing order is right (1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8), then your distributor could be installed "180" off
