Default Egr???

ok can some one that knows how the egr work give me some help. i have to pass emissions and my egr is not hook up the egr valve is on the tb but the solenoid and vacuum lines are long gone. is there a way i could hook it up say just to the vacuum tree fro the test or something and wouldn't this just have the egr working all the time? any input would be a big help

Depending on where you are, the inspectors may not actually "test" the egr for functionality. I used to do inspections in NC and all we were required to do is see if the egr system was in tact. If you run a bogus vac line to the egr, make sure you fasten the other end to something as some inspectors like to pull on vac lines to make sure they are not just sitting there.
