Which rearend gear do I want?
I've got a street/strip naturally aspirated 347 92 LX with 3.73 gears. At the strip the car doesn't pull at all in high gear (C4) and finishes the 1/4 at 12.27, 104 mph and 5000 RPMs. I would like to change to 4.10s but I will be adding a supercharger this winter and I'm wondering if this will be too much gear then. Any suggestions?
I'm planning on buying a Renegade style blower but only pulley for 10-14 lbs of boost until the block splits. It's only a matter of time..... Thanks. |

with 10-14 lbs of boost you will be running out of gear, get a 3.55, unless you like crossing the line at 8k, well ok maybe not that much, jmo...good luck
p.s, seems turbo cars like a 3.27-3.55, i have heard of some 5.0's running blower and 37's but imo thats gonna rev up too damn quick.
