Default Main Girdle is it worth it??

I'm planning on a rebuild of my motor.

I'll only be doing a .030 overbore w/forged pistons.

I'll prob. stick with my ported E7's for now for $$ reasons

but I may add a mild cam & spray it with about a 150 shot.

What do you guys think about these girdles?

Should I get the rotating assembly balanced?

It doesn't really stiffen the rotating assembly. What it's job is, is that it keeps everything together if there is a failure like cracking a block. Aluminum ones are supposed to be better because they absorb vibrations. Me personally, am putting one on my motor for insurance. ~Brian
