Default Adjusting the clutch?

I have a five speed 89 mustang GT and the clutch is way too loose, it wont start to disengage until almost at the floor, so it does not get a chance to disengage the clutch fully (or at all almost). How do i tighten this up?? Thanks

If you are still using the stock quadrant for the clutch cable, it is most likely worn out. You can try and pulling the clutch pedal all the way up then pushing it back down a few times. This will tighten it up if it is not worn out. If it is worn, look into getting a aftermarket firewall adjustable quadrant.
