Default fms valve covers

one of the mods I made over this winter along with heads, intake, ect... I bought a pair of FMS "cobra" valve covers.

I started to tighten them down (hand tight) and one cracked!

I am pissed... poor quality.

neither summit or Ford will warranty them.

have any one else had this problem with these valve covers? them cracking that is.

does any one have a used oil fill side (drivers) uncracked for sale? or a set of both for cheap?

any help would be apreciated

thanks
