Which Turbo Kit?
Awhile ago, I had a poll on what to get. Well I have decided to get a turbo. The question is which?
Option #1 Pro Turbo Kits. www.proturbokits.com Looking at the street kit with a t-66 Pros. 1.Have been in business longer. 2.Kit is coated all the way. 3.People I have talked to love it. Cons 1.Use of FMU Option #2 HP Performance (no website, click link for pics) http://www.turbomustangs.com/forums/...=&threadid=183 Pros. 1.Come with 42# injectors, C&L 76MAF, 255 Fuel Pump 2.Kit is makeing some serious HP Cons 1.New to market 2.No website 3.Only half the kit is coated. I would post this in the Power Adder, but I think it will get more hits here. Give me your thoughts.

Here is the reply I got back form HP Performance.
Hey Paul, with proper tunning the pistons will handle 500 HP or more, but I would tune it for less on the street as aposed to the strip. As far as an FMU I would not put one on since we have tunned our kit without it and an FMU is only a quick fix at best with inconsistent changes in fuel ratio and requires a much better pump. On our base kit which comes with 42# injectors we have made 634 RWHP and 786 RWTQ and no FMU. As far as the transmission I would not power shift and keep the power below 500 RWHP. Your electric fan will work. We can get you any boost controller you want and we ship the kit within 14 working days althought we add 7 working days for the 66mm upgrade due to balancing and machining. You should be able to run 10.80 at 127 with out more than 14 psi and 20 degrees of timming, we have ran faster with our base kit but remember this is only a guess not a guarantee. I would recomend a digital 6 ignition because of the built in two step an! d an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, both of these pieces we can supply to you. I am going to send you an order forum with some of our available options so you can get an idea of pricing. Feel free to ask all the questions you want take care and God bless,

You can just upgrade your fuel system yourself, if you are going with a turbo setup, there is noway I'd put a FMU on it. Get 42lbs/new mass air, and a nice custom tuned chip. You'll be much happier. ~Brian

The guys I know with the Pro Turbo kits have been pretty happy. Don't know much about the other kit, but don't overlook Turbo Technology. Been in business a long, long, time and they have some of the best support you can get.

A 60 series will make enough power to turn a factory block into 2 boat anchors and yes, it is kinda cramped with the AC and power steering, but I still have enough room to change plugs without having to remove anything, which is all I really needed anyway. How much power are you trying to make anyway? All are good kits, its just up to you to decide which one to put your money on.
Good Luck
