![]() 86GT- yes, I did have to extend some of the wires. I ran them up along the lip on the firewall, so the main power and ground (I kept all my engine grounds in the same place) were extended using the next size larger wire than the 6AL had on it. I just used crimp butt connectors and taped them good. I think I also had to extend the red wire to the Ignition switch, but the wiring in my car was severly hacked when a previous owner went from EFI to carb.
Yes, those are old M/T valve covers. They are painted dark grey with the tops of the fins painted silver. I have seen them polished and with the black crinkle finish on Clevelands, and I think the grey looks a little better (at least on my engine). I like the fact that they have little fingers above each rockerarm to drip oil on them.
