Which muffler to choose.
Hi there, i currently have long tubes an off road hp and flows. dont get me wrong its loud but not loud enough. ive heard alot loudier out there. i was thinking of getting the Dynomax Race Magnum Bullet Mufflers, but i was wondering if that would be like just taking the muffler off and putting a tube in it or will it slience it a bit. Borla makes one just like it but they are pricey, if you guys have any other suggeetion that would be great. thanks alot

the bullets have a small baffle in them so it'll be slightly quieter than straightpipes, you could also try the Dynomax Race Magnums (they look similar to a flowmaster) or the Flowmaster DeltaForce race mufflers.

If you want cheap my not just replace your mufflers with maybe two cherry bombs or glass packs I think there like $6 bucks at pep boys or autozone in a big barrel, just my .02

I would stick with the flowmasters. The Delta Flowmasters are actually silenced MORE than the original 40 Series Flowmasters. Maybe try 3" pipes with new 40 series. Also I am not sure if you have CATs or not. In Massachusetts you have to keep them on, not sure aobut where you live.

I'm not talking about the deltaflows, I'm talking about the Delta- FORCE race mufflers. They're a single chamber flowmaster and supposed to be pretty loud. Maybe ditch the H-pipe and get a 3inch setup.

Another thing to consider is cut outs after the headers. Electronic, manual, or just go under and unscrew the lids. Open pipes : )

On power adder cars the cut outs do help alot. With performance and sound.

I ordered a set of 3" spintech sportsman mufflers. Should be on this week. Will let you know how they sound. Heard a clip from hardcore 50 and they sound AWESOME.

Hey guys thanks for all the replys. i went with the 4" flomaster 1 chamber deltaforces. I had and custom H pipe made the exact same way as the one i just got, but the guy made it with 4" pipes and it is still bolt on, he weld flanges on to it, the tail pipes were also redone to 4" all the way out the back. The car sounds soo good, it not too loud when idle but when i take off look out its like having a glasspack but with the flowmaster sound. thanks alot guys
Ernie

Hey dude, no big deal. EEH1025, you should try and post some mpg's/soundclips after you install them. Anyone know of any good videos of a mustang w/single chamber flowmasters on it? I think there might have been be a soundclip on mustangexhaust.com, but it wasn't good.
