check engine light after intake install??
Yea the explorer intake works pretty good, now i have a check engine light, i ran codes and came up with 88, 51, 98.
I did away with the smog line that goes to the back of the intake, also, i got rid of the hard coolant lines, which means the sensor that was there is gone, would that cause this? it even stalls from time to time, like when i come to a stop? none of this happened before the intake........somebody help

Ok, here is where i screwed up, i cut the hard line a little after where it threads into the intake, so i could get the hose on it.
What i should have done, is cut it a little further where it still had the sensor on it, but i didnt, and now i cant find the old explorer lines, i threw them away i guess i will have to rigg something up here. we all have to learn i guess

yeah unfortunately that's the ECT or something.. engine coolant temp.. it tells the computer the engine temp and it's seperate from the gauge.. that's another sender... you can probabaly tap anywhere to get that sensor going... you could TAP the thermostat housing if you wanted to.. though it might be best to get a new COOLANT RAIL.. or whatever you want to call it... try a junk yard or even ebay of you have to

can i just put a 1/2 to 3/8 in the hard line spot for the sensor? and just re-route that oil cooler hose to the bypass on the t-stat housing?
