camshaft selection
how is everyone out there? i was wondering what type of camshaft to use with a 1994 5.0 motor. i would like to maintain good street driveability and also not have to install a higher stall converter (i have the aode transmission). i may supercharge later, and was wondering if a split-duration cam would be a good idea, or if the stock 5.0 camshaft would be better suited for supercharging. i would also like to the low-end torque of the stock camshaft. would it be possible to keep the low-end torque and also increase horsepower with a split-duration camshaft? there are alot of smart people out here, your help would be greatly appreciated

a camshaft swap isnt normally done untill other mods have been taken care of with a stcok exhaust and intake the stock cam works fine, you might even lose torque and horsepower, with a agressive cam.
i dont normally recomend digging into the engine untill heads intake and exhaust and gears are done and you have a plan for the whole picture then ask the cam companies what they recomend its hard to keep swapping cams becuase you change your combo. depending on heads split duration works good if the exhaust side is poor like stock heads but might not work with AFR 205's ect

e-cam= good for autos and blowers.
My e-cam works great considering i dont have steep gearing, still has good torque.
