Car surges voilently and looses power in first?
This morning I got in my car and while I was taking off in first the car began to surge. It felt like It was loosing power and then gaining power practically giving me whiplash! It eventually stalled out. It seem to run ok in the other gears. Any one know what this could be? Could it be the clutch or a throttle problem?

I had a surging problem, similar to, but not exactly like yours. My problem was solved by cleaning the two 10-pin connectors (one is black other is white) behind the intake. Good luck and hope this helps.

Take a look at the TPS(throtle position sensor) I had similar problems, but I never actually stalled. Also, some other gears I Could feel split seconds of hesitation, kind of like a timing problem. The TPS is 25 bucks at an auto store so try and replace that first.
