Will an 84.5" belt harm accessory items?
Hi, I was thinking about removing the smog pump and switching to an 84.5" belt. Will this harm my other accessory items, alternator, waterpump, etc. since they will spin faster now? Will it harm anything else? Do you need to adjust the idle afterward? Thanks for the help. I ahve my radiator out and figured I would do as much as possible while it is out. Thanks.

Have you removed your catalytic converters? If not, don't remove your smog pump.
Shortening your serpentine belt will not make your accessories run faster. Neither will removing your smog pump.

Ok, thanks. I tried to get the belt from Autozone and they said that they don't have an 84.5" belt. Where did you get yours at?

I'm surprised that they don't have one. Most good auto parts stores can give you a belt based on size. It's generally part of the part number. You may be able to get by with a slightly shorter or slightly longer belt. I got my belt at NAPA.
