Qtr Window molding is made to the glass. I found that PPG is making the windows again but at $465 each I can wait.

The seals on my windows were badly pitted and worn, but not leaking when I had the car repainted black. I had the guy treat the rubber like bodywork and just filled them in with bondo (or something similar). It turned out really good.

I'm not talking about the visible trim that goes around the entire glass piece.

I'm talking about the tar like seal that sandwiches between the opening of the window and the glass, and keeps water out of the car.

Ah, that stuff. I thought you were talking about the molding too. You can use windshield sealer, which is some black nasty stuff....don't get it on you or anything else. Most places that carry auto-body stuff should have it.

NAPA carries liquid Butyl or you can buy it in Rope Style which is what you should use so you don't get it everyplace when bolting the window back in.
