Default Question on MAC CAI

Do the MAC cold airs come with K&N filters? Someone told me they did. But someone else said they have MAC filters. So if they have the MAC filters is there really much of a difference between that and a K&N because I know K&N are the best but I want the show look of a MAC CAI.

They are mac filters and appear to the naked eye to be the same thing. I dont know if there is a difference in flow characteristics. If there is, I'm sure its minimal. But as far as performance goes, garbage. If you want it for the looks, thats another story.

Yeah looks are important, but so is preformance, so is there a K&N filter that would fit it? Or a CAI that looks good and works good? I noticed you have a MAC CAI, what do you think

I think all CAI kits comes with a COTTON OIL style filter.. whether it's K&N brand or some other.. I think the idea is they flow better thne paper in all cases and are cleanable ... I have a NO NAME CAI setup I bought off ebay.. it works fine, looks fine... I got it mostly cause my stock tubes were all ripped and my CnL MAF was HUGE... I went to a PRO-M and it's nicer lookng and fits nicer... but that's besides the point.
