Engine Assembly Competition
Have you guys seen this thing on speedvision. It's like these NASCAR engine builders race to assemble an engine as fast as they can? It's pretty cool. Mine's taking a bit longer than theirs. I think I'm up to about 50 hours and some change. Hehehehe. Hey, while you're at it, take the poll. What color should I paint my block? The car is red. The engine bay is nice shiny red. I have a black tubular K member though. I was thinking black, or red. But then I could do something like Ford blue. What do you all think?

I think red would be like RED OVERKILL... I say go BLUE,this way you'll knwo it's a FORD, or a 455 OLDS.... but I dont think anyone will make that mistake.... ORANGE is chevy color, so that's not an option.... BLACK might look nice too though... nice and clean... the blue might clash but it'll stand out...

So far black is winning. Does anyone have pics of their engine painted black?

I don't think Ford blue belongs in a red engine bay...kind of a bad mix. If you can't figure out that it's a Ford you've got bigger worries anyways Honestly though, black or red won't matter THAT much since once it's in the car you don't really notice much. Here's mine waiting to go in:
