Default I Got some Canfield Aluminum heads. Got ?'s

I got some Canfield Aluminum heads with 2.02 1.80 valves.

I am running a stock 88GT short block with the stock notched forged pistons.

Will I be able to run these heads with my stock notched pistons.

Right now I am running the stock cam with 1.72 rockers.

i would say go get yourself some clay, throw the heads on, and crank her over by hand once or twice. Then check the clay to see if it will clear or not.

There's only one way to know for sure. Check the clearance. Even with 1.90/1.60's I always check. I'm not sure but I think that almost all 2.02 valved heads need to have the stock pistons notched. (Exception is TFS TW).

I checked that link and called the Canfield people. They said I can run up to a .550 lift cam without worrying about piston to valve clearance cause of the chamber design.

I told him what I had and he said I should bolt on 50 RWHP with these heads and a good cam.

Cant wait.

BTW: the valves are 2.02 1.60 I dont know what I was thinking earlier.

Make some room for me in the low 12 second club.
