Angry b&m shift kit problems

Hello,
Iv got a problem with my 86GT I hope somone outthere can help me with.I bought a b&m shift kit for my AOD and installed it.I went to put it in revearse to back out my garage and almost drove through the front of my garage.I have no reverse or neutral.I called b&m and told them the problem and they said it sounded like my linkage needed to be adjusted.I tried that but it didnt help.I hope somone can help me.

Personally I wouldn't waste any time. Take it to a tranny shop asap before that AOD fries!

Default linkage

as long as u r sure you put all the balls back in the passages in the exact spot they said too in the kit instructions, I would think you probably got the linkage put back wrong on the valve body. U need to take a look at a manual if possible, to make sure you got that back together right.

If you have any local auto shops that u r buddies with, try to get a photo copy of the valvebody as it sits in the car. I have copies of this, but unfortunately they are forty miles away right now.

Go back and re-check what you did against the instructions that came with the shift kit. i have installed many kits, amd made a mistake once, but nothing like what you are experiencing. Drop the pan and check the manual valvebody to make sure you installed it correctly.
