A likely story
TFS TW heads
TFS 2 cam EGR delete full exhaust (longtubes) 15" (rim size) slicks w/ 3.73's all of the above in an otherwise stock (injectors, TB, MAF, i mean STOCK otherwise) 94 hardtop cobra can you see that combo running 12.3's @110+ all day with a perfect tune?

I think it would run about a 13.0-13.3 at maybe 106-107.
I could see it in a notchback but not a sn95.

Well I witnessed it here at the track in san antonio (SAR). He was running 12.6's many times in a row and claimed to see 12.3 - 12.1 regularly which i believe because everybody was running a few tenths off their best. humidity was awful..
Anyay I looked under the hood and all I can say i saw for sure was stock cobra upper, stock tb, stock MAF, no nitrous, no power adder... Ideas? A stroker perhaps?

Point being, Hotrodders are the biggest Bullsh***ers on the planet next to maybe fishermen (i'll tell you about the world record Bass i caught sometime) ... take everything you hear with a grain of salt ... the crap you read in the hot rod books ... do you really think they are gonna spend 10's of thousands of dollars making their car competitive then tell you exactally what they did so you can go fast as them without spending all that time and money ???? lol Use some logic ... if you could go low 12's in a basically stock 302 then my old 58 would have been running low 9's and all the guys on this board with fairly modified 302's would be running mid 10's easy. I'm stickin with my original reply ... when pigs fly ... you'll never convince me its gonna happen. |

There's something he's not telling you about the car.
