Question What happens if i disconnect this?!

Hey everyone. I'm trying to take off my passenger side header, and it'd make my life a whole lot easier if i could disconnect this hose. I was wondering what the hose in this picture is for. And is it ok to disconnect it from the firewall.? I made sure to draw an extra arrow, u know. just in case.

That looks like the A/C liquid line, and the other end should go to the condenser at the radiator. You need a springlock tool to remove it.

If you remove it, the A/C refrigerant should be recovered by an A/C shop and not released into the atmosphere. Then the A/C will have to be evacuated and recharged when put back together.

What headers to you have? I've got mac and it was a little snug and yeah it would be easier to have line out of the way but they come out. It would less costly to pull valve cover off, that will get you some more clearance.

I have loosened the passenger motor mount up and used a jack to lift the motor about 1 inch and it came out very easy.
