I had a broken shifter "fork" once, and it was popping out of 2nd all the time. I would get your tranny inspected ASAP. When you break something or even start to rub/grind something in the tranny, the metal flakes get caught up in all the fluid and just keep recyling around and ruin the lubrication process, Making everything worse. Good luck
