Default 5.0, did it change??? Need advice please!?!

I need to know if the 5.0 was changed for '94-95 as compared to prvious years'93 and down? I'm about to purchase my first stang and I need to make the right choice. Thanks for your help.

94+ were the sn95 bodystyle, 79-93 were foxbody.
86+ started fuel injection which was speed density, in 89 they went to mass air.
87-92 mustangs had forged pistons, 93-95 gt's have hyperneumatic (sp.) pistons.

Nothing wrong with 93+ engines, the factory pistons tend to get weak under lots of boost, usually can handle more than a streetcar needs though....any more questions? i know my 90 was the first year without tilt steering

it's called hypereutectic pistons, read about it, it's interesting.

If your reffering to me, i know the spelling was wrong, thats why i put "sp"
I dont have to copy and paste everything.
and i dont need to read about them, they are weak used with a 150+ shot, and imo, they are dangerous with even a 100 shot.

Minor changes around the throttle body. The 94/95's also have a 130 Amp alternator compared to the 90-100 AMP unit on the Fox bodies (can't quite remember the amperage).

There was also the piston change as mentioned above.

The 94/95 Cars also had a less aggressive computer than the fox bodies (to save on transmission warranty claims).

Coupe5Oh,

It's not that hard to spell. I didn't have to cut and paste, not trying to bust your chops or anything, just trying to help a brutha out. And when I said read about them, I didn't mean read about how well they perform, I meant read about what hypereutectic means. It has to do with the amount of alloying material in the steel or aluminum. (usually carbon for steel and silicon for aluminum) Hypereutectic pistons are made from an aluminum alloy with more than the eutectic concentration of silicon which I think is around 13%. (may be wrong) Anyway, makes the alloy resist wear and makes it stronger but slightly brittle. That's why they are good for slightly higher HP that cast, but not as good as forged. Just thought people might be interested. Everytime I hear someone talk about hypereutectic pistons they always say "hyper..." and trail off. Not very many people actually understand what that means (or even how to say it) Just thought it might help out to let people know that it's not a huge mystery, you can read about it and it's pretty easy to understand.
