tie rod ends
ok, i recently bought a 94 cobra and the front suspension/steering needs a little help. it has a new rack from Napa but i don't think they replaced the outter tie rod ends. The inners would come with the new rack, right? Should i just go to the local parts store for the outters or should i go to ford? i can't find any from a good aftermarket dealer except Maximum Motorsports adjustables, which are too expensive. also, when replacing the rack, Napa would have replaced the rack bushings right? thanks alot

Napa usually includes the inner tie rods. What exactly is the problem with the steering?
The Napa racks sometimes come with bushings. The rack that I got for my '90 came with bushings that wouldn't work, I ended up using the stockers which were fine. (Stock ones aren't exactly high stressed) Go to NAPA or such place, I'm sure they're Moog or TRW or whatnot. -steve in nj- |

The inner tie rods can be replaced, grab your wheel with your hands and try to see if it has play in it, dont replace the rack unless it's shot, leaking...ect.., unless you just want a new one anyway.
