remanufactured MAF
ok i needed a new maf for my car so i went to advanced auto parts to just get a replacement...not a bigger performance maf. I payed $70 for a remanufactured maf, which was suppose to be the same as my stock maf. I take it out of the box and compare it to my original. The original had a screen, and the hole for the air to go though was 65mm (or whatever stock size is)...This new one doesnt have the screen, or filter, and the hole for the air to go through is about twice the size. The inside of the new maf is completely hollow except for the sensor. Did i just upgrade??? Its been raining so i havent been able to see if there are any performance gains.

When I priced my reman MAF it was $180. It was identical to the original with new electronics. I just up graded to an aftermarket piece.
Does it fit alright? Maybe its a reman part for another car or model year? |
