4banger injector
Will a 84-85 4banger inector work on my car I have a bad injector and im getting a new motor soon with all new 24# injectors but my freind has a few of them 2.2 i think 4 banger injectors from a ford pickup laying around i was wondering if they would work or do any of you guys have a 19# injector to spare?

I wouldn't install it unless you're absolutely sure what rating it is. If the injector is a 14# instead of 19 you'll run lean on that cylinder and burn it up. I'd rather drive with a disconnected injector than one i'm not sure about.

I tried un plugging the pig tail and cuttin power but fuel still leaks out of it, I wonder if the same years tbird or cougar used the 19#ers

I believe the 19's were orange in color, so any orange injector should work.

Oh, i didn't know it was actually leaking i just thought it was "bad". Was the actual injector leaking or an o-ring? Doesn't really matter now

The O ring was new I replaced it twice just to double check, the injector wouldnt even pass the 9v test the carb cleaner just sat inside the injector as for the good ones it sprayed out the bottom so it was an internal problem but no biggie cost me $10bucks on used ones , working great now thanks for the help
