i just did this last weekend, i set the housing upside down and set the themostat there then just a bit of silcone then the gasket then more silicone and let it set for about 5- 10 minutes then i could set it in there and not have it fall out. i used a 180 degree robertshaw and my stang runs just below that on a 95 degree day here.
