EGR question
what exactly does the EGR do, i have it blocked off now because i am currently replacing the EGR tube.... is it necesarry to have it hooked up??...will it effect the way my car will run if its not hooked up??? thanx

The EGR recirculates exhaust gases back into the intake stream to cool down the combustion process during CRUISE. Thus reducing NOX. You wont notice any differnece by removing it other than your intake wont be getting messed up inside from the exhaust. you will need to atleast leave it hooked up otherwise youll get a check engine light. You could block it off with out a problem.
