Run it on the slicks. If you're really afraid, just do a lower rpm launch. The slicks are going to help just as much to keep you from bustin' it loose on the 1-2 shift (and the 2-3, 3-4 ). Used T5's are cheap anyways.
*Edit* Slicks are addicting, after running them it's now tough to race on radials. I see no point in ever trying to drag race on radials ever again.
