I have an msd 6al and after about a year and a half of use, it only works intermittently. I actually have to unplug it from time to time just to get my car to crank. It is mounted inside the car, out of the elements, so that is not a good excuse. Maybe I got a bad apple, but I dont recommend it. i do use their blaster coil, and havent had a problem with it, yet. The first time it decided to quit, I ended up sitting in my girlfriends game, missing the kickoff of the first Texans game I had been to in the new stadium, because I couldnt figure out why my engine was turning but not cranking. After about 20 or 30 minutes of messin with it, I decided to unplug the box, and it fired right up. needless to say, I dont reccommend msd, but I have no experience with Jacobs. My next ignition will be crane or jacobs though.
