![]() I have never seen a jacobs ignition at a race track. So what does that tell you. I run all mallory just because it came with my car and works well. I would recomend MSD or mallory but don't mix brands of ignition components.

![]() I ran Jacobs for years. It is a higher quality ignition than MSD (Construction wise).
There is a jacobs electronics store here in midland they make the (best) spark plug wires. All of there stuff is top notch. JMO,

![]() I've ran the jacobs box with their ultra coil for years and had nothing but great performance....that being said, i've got my eye on a msd 7al2 and hvc2 coil. I kind of feel that jacobs hasn't been advancing with technology as fast as others...imo

![]() Id definately put my vote in for a MSD ignition, i had the 6al and just recently upgraded to the Digital 6 and i love it. Great looking, loads of features, and good name.

![]() I have an msd 6al and after about a year and a half of use, it only works intermittently. I actually have to unplug it from time to time just to get my car to crank. It is mounted inside the car, out of the elements, so that is not a good excuse. Maybe I got a bad apple, but I dont recommend it. i do use their blaster coil, and havent had a problem with it, yet. The first time it decided to quit, I ended up sitting in my girlfriends game, missing the kickoff of the first Texans game I had been to in the new stadium, because I couldnt figure out why my engine was turning but not cranking. After about 20 or 30 minutes of messin with it, I decided to unplug the box, and it fired right up. needless to say, I dont reccommend msd, but I have no experience with Jacobs. My next ignition will be crane or jacobs though.
