Just a ? about the input shaft on my t-5 , I have the motor out of the car and was cleaning the engine bay up a little. I went to wipe the grime and sh** out of the belthousing and i grabed ahold of the input shaft to pushed on it back and forth to see if there was any play from side to side and up and down. Well there is a very small amount of movement from side to side and up and down ( not much at all ! ) My question is , is this normal?????

Yes it's supposed to have a small amount of play. It shouldn't be tight.

How much play are we talking about here? It should be VERY minimal.....may a few thousandths. The input shaft rides on a roller bearing/race setup. If it's somewhat sloppy, I'd be thinking about a rebuild, or at least a new bearing on the input shaft which can be done fairly easily.
