Still slow - please read
Ok. Went to the track, sea level, 90deg and humid.
before the run i weighted my car at 3050lbs w/o me (185lbs). I'm on street tires (bfg gforce kdw) and shifting at 5500rpm (that's when the light goes). Times: rt: .677 60' 2.07 1/8: 8.668 @ 83.75mph 1/4: 13.337 @107.46mph. I'm reading other posts of 95GT verts weighing in at 3600lbs posting similar mph. I recently installed a march ram air kit to help with my overly ported heads. Any other ideas, injectors are 19lb too small? Sorry for the longish post but this is getting fustrating. Should I be able with the ram air and cold day to hit 110mph or better.?? ------------------ 306ci, TFS stage 3 heads. port/pol edlebrock performer intake. 77mm mass air, 70mm TB, crane 2030 cam, Mac full length headers, flowmasters 3.73 gears (just added, pulleys, ram-air, AFPR, full port/polish on upper intake....looking for new times) Best to date: 13.4@107.85mph |

mmike, to me that sounds about right. That is, assuming that you had just a little tire spin and coming from the temperature being pretty high. Just curious though, what did you have as an intake before the March ram air system?>

Before I just had a conical K&N filter in the engine bay.
Yes first gear is going to the store for bread and I get quite a bit of spin on the 1-2 shift. Do you think cooler air and the ram effect will give me any et or mph. |

Your car is running pretty even to mine. Maybe some more tuning could help. You could easily knock off a second or so with traction.
Some cars run better than others, yours is running about average. Just like mine. Yea Sky, the numbers are pretty close to you.
I'm going to dyno in Sept and hope for some cool air and better traction (maybe some DR). Did your times improve after the dyno and tune session( if so by how much). I know better times are all with fine tuning. I am trying to run pure street trim (ie interior, full size front tires, no short belt etc.) What did they, or can they tune with my set-up on the dyno. no matter what, its bloody important to not spin; even if you have to launch at idle, i GUARANTEE you will get a better time than if you spin. wheather can also have a pretty big effect
