It's all good!
What do you have and how fast do you really want to go?
13,12's or faster????
The faster you go,the faster the money starts to multiply!
Hint #1
The harder you get your car to hook on the street the better! I have had slower cars then the one I was racing but still won the race because I had my traction issues under control!
If you get someone out of the hole hard (not hard to do or too expensive at your level) the harder it is to catch you. It takes alot of horsepower to catch and pull on someone once you get him/her out of the hole by like let say 2-4 cars!

Well, Im hoping for 13's in the future but thats with my other motor, its a 302 ho block. Flatt tops, Roller lifters, a roller cam, roller lifters, Roush 202 heads, stock crank, balanced and blue printed. The next things on the list is a trick flow fuel enjection set up and mass air ect. tell me what u guys think of it

It's alight dude, no harm, no foul. You've gotta learn somehow

You set up sounds pretty nice, but the heads are too big for the rest of the combo. I'd look at a smaller head.

Well with a rebuilt 5.0 motor... it better have a roller cam and roller lifters. (That's what they came with from the factory). You shouldn't need heads just to run in the 13's either.
Make sure you have the rest of your combo in good working order and you might already be there.
For an engine combo...you can run as basic as a stock bottom end with GT-40 heads,Cobra intake,an e-cam, 70mm throttle body, 1 5/8 headers, 2.5 inch exhust, 3,000 stall, 3.73-4.10 gears and car should run in the 12's with a good tune. Now there are much better combo's out there but this is just one example.
And I agree that the Roush 202 heads are a bit big. If you want to run a 2.02 valve then look into twisted wedge heads or AFR 165--Afr185 heads. Then it would require a better intake too.
