Default fan won't turn on

I just took the car out for its first drive of the year the car ran great but the fan wouldn't turn on. I just put in a electric fan with adj. thermostat. The fan has a temp. probe that you rest on the raditor and that is not turning the fan on. The only way to get the fan to work is to poor boiling water out of a tea pot. I was wondering if anybody ran into this problem before and how they fixed the problem.

Thanks for the info

I had the same problem with my electric fan i even thought it was the temp sensor and had bought a new one.
in the instructions that came with the fan it says to rest it against the radiator but the instructions that came with the sensor it says to put the bulb inside the radiator. so just for kicks i installed the old bulb in the radiator and it worked like a charm so try that. and if anyone needs to replace thier temp sensor i have a new one in box...good luck

I just need the temp sensor. My module is problably working fine on my flex a lite but the bulb is broken. Then i just have the stainless wire now. I put it threw the radiator but it's not enough. look like i need the bulb.

Where i can get it cheap.

Don't want to get the entire module
