Post Where to put gauges in an '84?

I'm struggling over where to put these gauges in my car. I know I can fit up to 3 in the A pillar mounts (boost, A/F, and oil pressure)...but I'll also be using a monster tach. Now all that leaves is water temp. and fuel pressure. Where the hell could I possibly mount these?

1984 1/2 GT350 (#842 Hatchback w/ T-tops), 302HO, Comp cams Xtreme Energy cam, Carter 625cfm carb, Weiand Stealth intake, MSD distributor, MSD coil, FMS 9mm wires, 1 5/8" MAC unequal shorties, 2 1/2" MAC Prochamber H-pipe, Flowmaster 2 chambers, KYBs, 16"x8" 4 lug Cobra Rs, Falken 245/45ZR16s

So I pushed it up to 110,
That flathead motor was about to give in,
I crossed my fingers and prayed to the lord,
Don't let me down you fuct up ford!"

I just removed the plastic plate that is in front of the stock gauges. Then I traced it on a sheet of aluminum and cut it out. Now I mounted my monster tach, an spedo along with all my other autometer gauges on the sheet of aluminum and put it back into my dash.
Looks cool

Hey man go to www.florida50.com they make a couple different mounting option panels for your car. I plan on using their product when the time comes.

In my '82GT I don't have a radio so I installed a trio of gauges into that area. You have the same interior as I do. It has a "factory" look.
They look pretty nice in there.
I was also thinking about mounting some gauges right above the glove box area where that big empty space is.
Just a few ideas for you.

That definitely crossed my mind and I would if it weren't for two things. As for the radio...I've got a rather expensive CD player (one of those Kenwood Masks) and I'm not about to rip it out to install some gauges. And about a week ago I checked out the holder Florida 5.0 has to mount the gauges between the A/C vents on the passenger side, but that's right where my anniversary badges are. Wouldn't they also be kinda hard to see all the way over there? I was wondering about the vent that's right next to the gauge cluster on the left (right under the driver's A pillar). I'd also rip out the ash tray/lighter plate if I could find a holder to fit it.

Great minds think alike!!
I was thinking about putting a gauge in that vent by the A pillar too but I didn't know where to run the wires. They would have to be run somewhere out of the way so that the plactic face plate cover would fit over the cluster panel again.
As far as mounting them above the glove box, I have seen gauges that were slightly tilted at an angle so that you would be able to see them better from over there. I forget where I saw them though.
A good place to mount switches would be in that center console lid.

Yeah...I've already got my whole console lid full of switches.

I saw someone who had put gauges in the "information center" area of the center console by taking out the plastic piece with the picture of the car with the bulbs and replacing it with a piece of plastic with 2 gauges in there instead. I was thinking of doing that in my '84.

I was thinking about doing away with that "information center" too and put something in there.
