Cool Motor set back

The new stroker is comming together by the day. I have a 1" set-back option on the K-member. Is this worth doing and whay else has to be done ( move trany mount, ect...)?

Im not sure if you would need to move the tranny mounts, there should be enough adjustment in the slip yoke and tranny mount to absorb 1 inch pretty easy. As far as the set back, it all helps for weight transfer in a drag car, and I would imagine it would be good for an autocross/roadrace car as well. Does it set your wheels back as well, or just the engine? It might make things tight against the firewall, and your exhaust might not bolt up as easy if you are using your old system. Maybe somebody who has one can chime in, it would be good to know.

I havn't done it but, wouldn't there be other issues as well. Like the drive-shaft, headers, rad hoses, etc.
In theory the car will have a better balance plus weight transfer. But as soon as you really start to make power you will be trying to keep the front tires down! After running in the 10's...lakewood 90/10's .....just don't work no more. Looks cool but not worth it. Can either get a set of adjustables or 70/30's. And this can keep going and going.
I would just keep it in the stock location to minimize any fabrication that needs to be done.
hope this helps.
