Default Replace Valve Springs

What's the best way to replace valve springs without removing the heads? What springs should I use on a stock motor?

Thanks...

Make sure as you do each cylinder's valves the piston's at TDC so the valves won't fall into it. It's kind of tricky holding the valve while trying to compress the spring but it's do-able. I'd check out springs from either Ford or Trickflow.

They make a fitting that screw in to the spark plug hole that will hold the valves up. Cost maybe $10, but will take the worry out of dropping a valve. Make sure the car is out of gear if you have a manual trans because the air will push the cylinder down. You can use a pry type spring compressor. Tap the spring caps with a ball peen hammer to help loosen up the retainers. For a stock motor just aboput any good name brand spring will be fine.

Oops....
Forgot to mention, the fitting hooks up to an air hose so you will need a compressor!
