Post If you have run AFR 185's WITHOUT flycutting stock pistons, come in!

Houston Performance and AFR both tell me my combo *might* work (considering they recommended and sold it to me, they better think it'll work..bastards), but now everywhere I turn people are telling me it wont work.

What is the deal here? These 5.0's have been around 15 years.....surely somebody *KNOWS*...I dont understand how houston performance and AFR think it'll "maybe" or "probably" work.

Somebody has surely tried this. If you have, what cam did you use, what rockers, etc.

I'm grasping at straws now...hate to tear down a perfectly drivable car just to find out I cant install the new heads. This car gets me to work.

I know the question is very general, but I want to see if anybody's AFR 185 combo did in fact work, and what cam they were using.
